According to WhereIsHD.com, Time Warner had the most HD additions last week with a total of 226. "Not bad," we say for a Top 10 MSO. What gained our attention were the 125 HD additions from Pencor Services, a small cable company in Palmerton, Pa. Pencor came in ahead of the third place platform last week, which was Verizon FiOS, with 107 HD additions for its lineups.

Educational programming was popular with 182 HD additions for this genre. These included feeds such as Planet Green HD, Discovery Channel HD, Learning Channel HD, Science Channel HD and Animal Planet HD.

Time Warner chose to launch its new additions primarily in the Los Angeles and Green-Bay-Appleton DMAs. Pencor focused on the Wilkes Barre-Scranton and Harisburg areas while Verizon FiOS launched all of its additions in the Baltimore and Washington regions.

According to WhereIsHD.com, 643 lineups across the country had at least one HD feed added last week.
